Monday Night Poetry Greensboro NC Central Library Group Poem

6-18-2012 Monday Night Poetry Greensboro NC Central Library Group Poem, Composed by 20 People, Unedited

Facilitated by Alfred Harrell

What goes around comes around, so give what you like to receive

If I had money, a dollar bill perhaps, I’d give it in order to receive

If I had no money, would give my love and respect

It was a dark and stormy night and all I have are my thoughts to keep me company

The grass is always greener and money is too

Money is good, love is better, the combination of the two always mix forever

Money goes and money leaves empty pockets but love is better. It feels the heart.

It feeds the soul giving room for chance. Giving it life once lost, love comes in varios faces & forms so leave no stone unturned

Give a man a million dollars and he’ll find a way to need $1,000,001. It’s never enough.

An extra penny-a penny for your thoughts but maybe I don’t want to know.

Money over b*tches is what the rappers say, but why make the money to live life alone?

If money was good to me, it would never leave, yet it disappears so quickly always trying to deceive.

Money is said to be the root of all evil-just fulfilling as a hollow piece of cake yet people sell their souls just to indulge in a deceitful taste. It seems like everybody has the dream to money green

It’s like everybody wants to be somebody but they insane walking around doing the same thing expecting for things to change and wonder why their pockets thin!

Tedious and Necessary-What?

All too often the simplest acts can have long term detrimental effects on our lives such as failing to drive cautiously during rush hour traffic during a rain storm increases the potential for a fender-bender or not taking medications as ordered by a physician when diagnosed with hyper-tension or diabetes which are at time life-changing situations. There is one simple act that is quite tedious yet necessary which many of us fail to do and that scammers push from utility poles to mass media marketing: it our knowing what is in our credit file even if we have good credit but is even more necessary if you like myself have made poor financial decision from to time leading to a somewhat negative credit rating.

We are entitled, as some of us know, to one free credit report annually from all three credit reporting agencies, TransUnion, http://www.transunion.com/, Equifax, https://aa.econsumer.equifax.com/aad/landing.ehtmlhttps://aa.econsumer.equifax.com/aad/landing.ehtml and Experian, http://www.experian.com/credit-report-partner/index-g.html?sc=674969.

If it is not possible to get a free credit report from any of these agencies due to online issues or through AnnualCreditReport.com, https://www.annualcreditreport.com/cra/index.jsp, a short phone call to AnnualCreditReport.com, 877-322-8228, will get a detailed report of your choice mailed to you in about 15 days.

While the process of knowing what is on your credit report is tedious it is an extremely necessary part of life especially when where we live or what type of employment we may acquire depends upon it. We have a right to know what is reported on our credit report, the right to dispute what is on it and have inaccuracies fixed or removed just as the reporting agencies have the right to leave undisputed errors on our reports because they realize that some of us view doing our own self-policing of our credit standing as tedious and time consuming or rather leave it up to the “so-called credit repair experts”. In conclusion, knowledge becomes wisdom that no one take from you but illness or death.

Chasing a passion driven dream without  a realistic objective in mind is like spitting in an ocean.
